The first of McKean County's Family Centers was opened in Bradford.	Family Centers in Kane, Port Allegany and Smethport were opened.	- The last of the McKean County Family Centers was opened in Otto-Eldred. This meant there was a Center in each school district in McKean County, ensuring resources for all families in the County was nearby. - The Centers began to administer the Pennsylvania Youth Survey. This survey, sometimes called the PAYS Survey, is given to grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 in an effort to evaluate alcohol and drug use as well as risk and protective factors among McKean County youth.	- The McKean County Family Centers received an award from the Governor's Partnership for Outcome-Based Planning. - The Port Allegany Family Center received an award from the Governor's Community Partnership for Safe Children for Authentic Youth Involvement.	The Department of Welfare recognized the McKean County Family Centers as a Model Program.	- The McKean County Family Centers began offering new programs including the Incredible Years, Children in the Middle, Mother Goose, and the Strengthening Families Program. - The Family Centers received the Communities That Care Award through PCCD for the Strengthening Families Program.	- Through a four year $975,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the Family Centers were able to build on and expand the Strengthening Families Program (also known as SFP) in McKean County. SFP had been offered to families in Kane and Bradford for a few years prior to 2006. The grant allowed SFP to be offered in all the school districts in McKean County by adding the program in Otto-Eldred, Port Allegany and Smethport. - The Family Centers received the Communities That Care Award through PCCD for the Strengthening Families Program for the second year in a row.	The Family Centers received the Communities That Care Award through PCCD for the Strengthening Families Program for the third year in a row.
