The McKean County Family Centers employ Family Developmental Specialists who
complete a Parent Educator Certification Program in the nationally recognized
Parents As Teachers Program.
In general, each of the five Centers has between 2-5 staff.
They come from a variety of backgrounds including Nursing, Education and Humanities.
The one common theme is their experience working with children and families.
In fact, the Center staff currently has over 70 years of combined experience working with
families in McKean County through the McKean County Family Centers.
Each of the five Family Centers in McKean County has one Lead Worker. These employees meet with Center Supervisors to discuss what is going on at each Center along with covering any topics on the County level.
