Resources

The fifth goal of The McKean County Family Centers states the Centers strive to provide:

  • a seamless, comprehensive and easily accessed network of services for children and families.
This means that the Center staff will help families get the resources they need, even if that resource is not offered by the Centers. The McKean County Resource Directory is one way the goal is clearly demonstrated. This directory has been developed by the Center staff and is updated and distributed on a yearly basis. The directory contains information in a clear and concise format that assists families in getting the help they need by highlighting the areas services available to families.

The goal is also demonstrated through the format of Screening Days. Several area agencies assist with the child screenings, giving referals for other services that might benefit the child and family when necessary.

This section of the McKean County Family Centers website meets the goal of helping families find the help. It is specifically designed to assist families in finding the information and resources they might need for the betterment of their family as a whole and the individuals that make it up.
The McKean County Family Centers is a program of The Guidance Center.
